24 iPad Wallpapers
I love my new iPad. And as with all new technology devices, there’s a level of customization that now enables me to drool like no other device has done before. Sure desktop wallpapers say a lot. But we’re so used to creating our own desktops that we think all wallpapers function the same. Well they don’t. I’ve made so many in the past. And the biggest worry was making sure a wallpaper wasn’t so busy you couldn’t make out files on the desktop. Then the iPhone came along. And the home screen became a canvas. I don’t yet have an iPhone 4 and OS4 only allows me simple folder actions on my 3G. So no custom backgrounds for me at present. But this iPad… With its crystal clear screen and large resolution… It’s just fantastic. If you’re an iPad owner I’m sure you’ve tried a few photos of your own to make a custom feel. It’s just fun. The trick to making a successful wallpaper is to make sure the scene works perfectly in a 1024×1024 square. Textures seem to be the best. These above are photos I’ve taken and modified for this resolution (132ppi). I’ve been scouring the online space for images like these. There’s a ton. Some elegant, some tacky and horrible. I make these available for you to use if you like. Some are perfect background noise. Some interfere a tad. But each say a little something of their own. I look forward to shooting more and sharing.
